Dr. Iadecola is a clinician-scientist who works on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurovascular function and on the overlap between stroke and dementia. He has published over 260 journal articles, holds leadership roles in several international networks, has been recognised by multiple institutes for his research and sits on several editorial boards.

At Brain & Brain PET 2015, Dr. Iadecola will be presenting the Presidential Symposium: Bright and dark sides of innate immunity in stroke and chairing/presenting the symposium session on Neurovascular pathways to cognitive dysfunction and neurodegeneration.
