After spending the day in your Congress sessions, we invite you to travel the city and take part in experiences unique to a city based in a country that is both island and continent... All in one!
If You're Into Sports
As a record setter, Melbourne is the only city in the world which has five internationally standardized sporting venues; furthermore, it is the only city on earth to be proclaimed - twice - as "The World's Ultimate Sports City". Accordingly, no sports fanatic would ever decline the unique experience of Aussie Rules Football - the city is home to many professional franchises/teams and is considered to be the sport's spiritual home: the most prestigious competition is the Australian Football League(AFL), culminating in the annual AFL Grand Final - currently the highest attended club championship event in the world!
How About a Bit of Culture?
From cultural festivals to ballet, opera and architecture, Melbourne has a unique mix of classical and modern opportunities for you to enjoy.
